Ammar El Seed is a highly experienced Technical Product Manager and Software Developer with over 13 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Software Consultant and has previously held leadership roles in notable companies such as noon and Fetchr. At noon, Ammar led the product management for the Supply Chain Engineering team, where he was responsible for building in-house software systems that power noon's fulfillment and logistics operations. He interfaced with different departments within noon and third parties to engineer requirements, managed product roadmaps and backlogs, championed products within Noon, and managed agile development processes. He successfully rolled out a complete, new logistics management system with features in time for Yellow Friday, the biggest noon sale of the year. He also managed the development of a near-real time telemetry system to monitor 6,000 drivers in noon's fleet across the UAE and KSA. Ammar co-led the development and rollout of new software to support noon's daily basket grocery delivery services and co-designed flex fleet software tools to onboard freelancers and manage their hiring activities for noon. At Fetchr, Ammar headed the product management department and built the product management team. He created new products, elicited requirements, and managed stakeholders while coordinating development efforts across teams in 4 different countries to deprecate legacy systems all while building new features to support business needs. He rolled out a new fulfillment module that optimized workflows for operational staff by 2X and built a new account management system to replace the old ERP system and reduce data management efforts by account managers saving them hours of work each week. Ammar also built Fetchr's product portfolio and aligned the heads of departments on Fetchr's core service offerings. Ammar holds a Master's degree in System Design and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering and double majored in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
